38w2d and still do not feel anything

I am 38w2d preg. I am not sure how contraction feels like but I do have on and off cramps lately. How do I tell if it is contraction?

I had mild cramps like every 30 mins or sometime apart 1 hour apart backpain cramp . sit down u feel . stand up u feel . lie down also u feel . after few min cramp gone n come again .. went to triage I'm 2-3 dilated . doc sweep membrane nighttime come home already intensive every 5-10 mins regular

how often the on n off cramps .. in 30 mins got 1-4 mild cramps then go off n come again ?? might be irregular contraction ...
