yes I agree. As a foreigner, and my first visit there. I forgot to bring my referral letter but I had it in my phone so the admin staff told me to send it to an email she gave. I tried sending several times and told the staff but she just told us to keep trying. Turns out the email she gave was wrong. My husband and I had to wait an hour till we got through sending the email because of the staff. I understand sometimes you get things wrong but she was very rude and didn't even correct the email until we had to ask another staff to look into it. After a few appointments, I noticed this one indian staff who is in charge of taking blood tests. she called a patient but the patient wasn't there because that patient was busy paying bills or doing her urine test. when the patient tried explaining, the indian staff just rudely interrupted her.
My experience at KKH has been very good. I went on subsidized fertility checks at clinic D, then referred to KKIVF Centre, now back at Clinic D and antenatal monitoring clinic. So far, all the clinics I have gone to had very nice and friendly staff, nurses and doctors. They are very gentle and empathetic. Always very nice in answering questions too.
#subsidized doctors are very respectful during visits and labour.. but i got MO that isnt so encouraging. eg. after VE, As he spoke he slouched and lean back against the wall and minimal eye contact and spoke in a ... lazy manner. idk how to describe. i just got a VE w/ no epidural. and looking at him speak just make me feel like im problematic. 😅
super positive experience at KKH from the 1st time i went for a checkup until i gave birth. prenatal to postnatal care was excellent. i am a subsidised patient and went through a c-sect. nurses, doctors, surgeons provided so much support and care during my stay there. i gave birth on the 28th of feb 2022. so for me, great experience all round.
We didn’t come across any unfriendly nurses or doctors. Some doctors might appear a bit on the rush but overall they done a good job. During delivery, two O&G docs came to assist, encourage her and apply pressure on my wife’s upper abdomen as she was having difficulty pushing the baby out.
Pretty positive. I was a private-turned subsidized patient but i dun find any difference in the treatment and care that I get. I’m sure there are staff that may not be as pleasant but i dun believe any hospital, be it private or public has the 100% nice ppl la~
