How will I recognise the ‘show'?

It varies from woman to woman. I've had 2 pregnancies and never once have I seen it. Some women will gradually lose their mucus plug in pieces, weeks before their delivery date. Some will lose it at one go, and if you are the type not to look and just flush, you may miss it. It looks like vaginal discharge; thick white mucus, occasuonally accompanied with blood. You don't necessary have to panic if you see it though. Just look out for other signs of labours such as contractions or increased backaches.
