We swear by elderberry extract as soon as our kiddos past 12 months old and we take it regularly for maintenance. At first signs of cold/flu, we will increase the dosage and those symptoms will go away in a few days. First introduced to us by a fellow mommy gf who used it with success on her own children, there are many brands of elderberry extract syrup sold in the market such as Sambucol and Nature's Way, but our favourite is Nature's Answer. Read more about the benefits of elderberry extract here: http://www.m.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-434/elderberry Hope it will work for you too!

there is no way to prevent it. however its a good sign if your lo is sick. it show that immune system is trying to build up to better way. if your lo is young, the only best way is breastfeed. can add on probiotics and vitamin c if baby is less than a year. if more than a year, try sambucol. many mummies recommend it to build up their immune. however sleep and rest is impt too. its a way to rest their body and mind so that their immune system can be better.

Hi mommy, there’s no way to prevent it but by continuing to breastfeed your baby, you’re providing antibodies to the virus. If your LO is above 1 year old, you can supplement with Vitamin C or you can add baby probiotic to boost their immune system.

My baby is just 4 months and now in infant care so she falls sick quite easily. My only solution is to bath her twice a day and breastfeed as much as possible hoping the antibodies will pass thru

Hi, apart from feeding well, maintain personal hygiene (eg wash your frequently) and keeping LO warm during after baths and bedtime, try to stay away from people who are sick. That's wad I do. :)
