How to encourage my 2-year old to stop breastfeeding?

I was forced to stop breastfeeding my elder on when she turned 2, as i got infections around the area due to severe bites. It was painful to see her cry for it, and let me warn you the first few days and even week or two will be really tough. but please stick to it and don't give in. 1. encourage your baby to drink milk in a cute cup. 2. ask daddy or another relative to be around while giving milk, as your baby will associate milk time with you and that could lead to more distress. 3. make the weaning process gradual and don't stop suddenly. also, don't try to wean at bedtime or when your baby is too hungry or tired. try and do it at other times, when baby still wants to feed. 4. let your baby have more solids, as it will keep the tummy full and your baby will drink less milk anyway. all the best :)
