You can store expressed breast milk in either bottles or bags for refrigerating/freezing. For bottles, choose - glass or hard-sided plastic containers with well-fitting tops - check that the containers are not made with Bisphenol A (BPA) [avoid those labeled with a number 3 or 7 in the recycling symbol] - containers that are washed in hot, soapy water, rinsed well, and air-dried before use For bags, choose - freezer milk bags that are designed for storing human milk - put only 60 to 120 ml of milk in each bag (the amount your baby is likely to drink in a single feeding) to minimize wastage When storing, leave about an inch of space (for both bottle and bags) for milk to expand when freezing. For more information (such as storage guidelines, and how to warm frozen/refrigerated milk), you can refer to this article: http://www.lalecheleague.org/faq/milkstorage.html
