How did you know you were in labor? How long were you in labor for and when did you know it was time to go to the hospital?

I was in a consistent bearable contraction (once every 5-8mins) for 18hrs before I decided to admit into hospital. And then I gave birth 12hrs later. You should be in labor if your water breaks, or you feel consistent contractions once every 10min etc. Whenever unsure just go to the hospital and check.
