Hi mummies who have potty trained LOs, may I know if you got the kids toilet seat to attach to the adult seat or a potty that you can bring to your child anywhere in the house? Or do you do both?

In my experience, toddlers less than two or 2 ¼ prefer a potty chair and kids over 2 ¼ or 2 ½ seem to be okay with going on the big potty. At the end of the day, try both and let him decide which is more comfortable. Generally speaking, a potty chair is the safest bet, but most people end up getting a potty seat (sometimes called a seat reducer) later on when the child becomes a little bigger and more confident.

At home, I use toilet seat to attach to the adult seat. If it is outside I will bring portable potty like the one shown in the picture below. If he/she needs to poop, I will bring straight to the toilet and place disposable toilet seat covers on it. http://list.qoo10.sg/item/DISPOSABLE-TOILET-SEAT-COVER-10/412441250

I found potty chairs a waste. A potty seat directly helps the child understand the concept. As if they get too used to the chair, they wouldn't like to switch over later.

thanks
