Have you ever worried that you lack empathy as a parent? Admittedly, I'm pretty stubborn and think I may have trouble relating to my daughter as she grows older. Is this okay? Any suggestions?

Getting with your daughter out on weekends might help. My husband does that to our daughter and they're pretty much closer than ever. Our daughter always look forward to weekends because she knows that they will go out to eat and hang out at malls.
