I go agoda website to check on the area then find the hotels I want to stay in. Mrt is accessible in kl town area. Stay somewhere centralised such as near twin tower might be a good idea as it is walking distance to eateries and other places of interest. Another transport u can consider, is grabcar. It is cheaper than taxis. If u are uncomfortable taking grabcar then use Taxi and ask to switch on the meter instead of quoting a price. They might overpriced.
