Ferrous sulfate + folic acid

Good day momshies! Recently my sister-in-law gave me a pre-natal vitamins like ferrous sulfate w/ folic acid.. I know it should be taken also by a pregnant woman but is it ok if I take it even without a prescription by a doctor? I'm 4months pregnant & this is my second pregnancy..
