Flu vaccine

Is the flu vaccine necessary during pregnancy? Currently in my 14th week. Gynae mentioned that it’s up to me if I want it as some may get a reaction from it (eg. allergy or falling sick). Will be travelling to Japan in late-Feb too. Appreciate your thoughts!

There can be a reaction but not necessary it will happen to you. When i took the vaccine, the nurse also reminded me that I may get fever and told me the steps to take if I got fever. But i didn’t get any. Just rmb not to sleep on the arm that you got your injection on and drink lots of water! The injection area may be sore for about two days.

Good to take so that the baby get the antibodies too. Maybe you can ask if you can take after your trip?
