opinions on epidural pls

for my first pregnancy, i didnt use epidural when i give birth. but im thinking should i use epidural when i give birth to my 2nd baby if i cant tolerate the pain? i mean, i heard epidural will affect your back pain in the future. :/ thats why i didnt dare to use for my first one.
