Hi I gave birth in Oct 2020 via subsidised route and ended up with an emergency c-sect. Post-delivery I developed preeclampsia and was warded for 4 days in B2 ward (6-bedded). My total bill size was about $12k before Govt grant. After, cash topup was almost $5k but thank God I had hospital plan so covered the whole cost. In the end I did not pay anything. I was given cash cheques by my insurance for my daily hospital stay $600 and for my prenatal appointments $1200.

My baby’s bill was $3k (before grant) and balance was deducted by my husband’s Medisave. She had to go for phototherapy for 24hrs due to her jaundice.
