Are you familiar with Meningitis? As per the last webinar with Dra. Ging and Dra. Suzanne, Meningitis is the inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord caused by virus, fungi and bacteria. Some of the symptoms are fever, vomiting, headache, sleepiness, rash, joint pains, light sensitivity, and seizures. It can spread through direct contact or close contact with person infected through coughing, sneezing and kissing etc. It can be fatal if not treated properly but the good news is, this can be prevented through vaccination and avoiding crowded places. This can also be treated by admission to a hospital or health center and appropriate antibiotic treatment. Always ask and consult with your health care provider.
