Terrible itchy and scratchy throat

Every time I swallow my saliva or talk my throat will feel pain. Comes with itchy ear too. Its been a month or so already. Next gynae appointment is next week. Anyone the same too? How to relieve the pain? Its been getting on my nerves. Don't dare to eat medicine from gp as I Google the medicine provided and says is harmful for pregnant mom.
