My condolences to you and your family... Is your MIL doing your confinement for you? Although it is hard to leave your dad alone, you cannot neglect your confinement as it will affect your health in old age. Let your dad know he is always in your thoughts and not alone, you can update him daily of the baby and your day, or invite him to visit often if your ILs are fine with it. If you want to move in with your dad during confinement instead, you can order in confinement meals also to reduce the load. I'm sure your ILs will understand the last minute change.
