yes it does. a mother who is pregnant at a later age is more prone to health issues such as diabetes, preeclampsia, both of which can harm the unborn baby, as well as is more at risk for ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. however, not all women who are pregnant at a later age may develop these complications. being pregnant later can also increase the risk of chromosomal abnormalities in the baby, such as Down's Syndrome as well as Edward's Syndrome. there are many health issues that can definitely affect the baby if the pregnancy is late, and also affect the mother. http://www.acog.org/Patients/FAQs/Having-a-Baby-After-Age-35

When the parents are young they have more energy to cope up with the kids' energy and raising them and be more patient. But it really doesn't affect the baby's health. I have friends and relatives who had kids in their late 30s and the health of their kids is absolutely fine.
