Does a pregnant woman's body respond differently depending on the sex of the foetus?

A lot of common folk have their own beliefs on how the gender of the fetus affects the mother during pregnancy. When I was pregnant, everyone but two people guessed that I was carrying a boy due to their various reasons, but I delivered a baby girl.
