Believed it or not, I didn't bath my 1st child at all until she was able to stand and walk on her own. My mum was around so she had helped me out then. When I had my son, I was staying with on my own at our own place to I had to step up my game and I've been doing it on my own ever since. The nurses will teach you the proper ways to hold your baby during bath time, and don't be shy to try the dummy baby. It definitely helped me.
