Do you feel confident to bath your new born baby? I am afraid of bathing my new born baby as I feel my hands are small.

Please get a bathtub with infant bath sling so that you can bathe your newborn with both hands instead of having to support your newborn's body with one arm. I find that very strenous on the body. You can get the Fisher Price Sling n Seat bathtub, Summer Infant Bath Insert or Stokke bath insert. I bought the Fisher Price tub from a baby fair at about $90 but the infant mesh slings can be purchased from Mothercare at about $30. I bathed my baby together with my husband and father when her umbilical cord fell off. http://www.toysrus.com/buy/bath-tubs/4-in-1-grow-with-me-tub-bdy86-30444126

Believed it or not, I didn't bath my 1st child at all until she was able to stand and walk on her own. My mum was around so she had helped me out then. When I had my son, I was staying with on my own at our own place to I had to step up my game and I've been doing it on my own ever since. The nurses will teach you the proper ways to hold your baby during bath time, and don't be shy to try the dummy baby. It definitely helped me.

My husband relied heavily on the Lucky Baby bath support. You could try and see if it works for you. Can be bought at NTUC costs about $13.
