Perhaps you can give one of these home remedies a try to help soothe your discomfort: - Sesame oil: massage warmed sesame oil directly into scalp before bed each night. Shampoo and rinse scalp and hair thoroughly in the morning. - Apple cider vinegar: combine ¼ cups of apple cider vinegar with ¼ cup of water, pour mixture into spray bottle. Spritz hair and scalp with solution. Wrap head in a towel and allow mixture to remain for 15 to 60 mins before washing and rinsing. - Tea tree oil: add 10 to 20 drops tea tree essential oil to 1/2 cup baby shampoo. Use it daily until the scalp's condition improves. Alternatively, diluting two or three drops tea tree oil in one tablespoon vegetable oil and massaging directly into the scalp may also help unblock hair follicles and heal a dry, itchy scalp. - Lemon juice: try massaging two tablespoons fresh lemon juice directly into the scalp, and then rinse with water. Rinse the hair again using a solution of one teaspoon lemon juice mixed in one cup water. Repeat at least once daily until itchiness and dryness disappears. I think the condition should improve with time as it is likely cause by the hormones in your body post pregnancy.
