Swollen Big Toes

My big toes are both swollen but I don't have swollen feet/legs. The sides of the toes are hard and I could see pus inside. But I'm sure it's not ingrown nails. Went to see GP 2 weeks ago, and they said it could be ingrown nails. They prescribed me antibiotics (Amoxicillin - taken orally) and Sodium Fusidate cream to apply on the toes. But it's not getting any better. Am 32 weeks pregnant now. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced this?
