Here are some tips to help a baby get through the shots: - Provide distractions: distract the baby just before the doctor injects the needle. Talk to your baby in a cheerful voice, sing to him/her or show him/her a new toy. - Give some sugar: give your baby a pacifier dipped in some sugar-infused water. - Use numbing creams: apply the crease an hour before the scheduled timing to help ensure that the area would be numbed during the injection. Consult your doctor first to ensure that the cream is suitable for use on your baby. - Breastfeeding: breastfeed your baby during the vaccination to provide comfort and security to your baby. - Comfort: dress your baby in comfortable clothes. Ensure that baby is well fed and refreshed may help minimize fussing. - Stay calm: stay calm and soothe your baby throughout the process. She tried distracting her baby but that didn’t quite work as her baby saw the needle and started wailing. So she simply continued talking and comforting her baby throughout the shots. All was well after the shots were completed. Baby sulk for a couple of hours but was back to her normal self by the end of the day.

Distract the baby during the process and give lots of TLC before and after the shot.
