All of my babies had jaundice but my first and second born jaundice wasn't that serious although my second born was admitted at the hospital for 24 hours under the light. My third born was a high risk jaundice and it lasted for a month, I cried when the doctor told me that high risk jaundice in baby is very serious and could lead to brain damage or kidney failure! I prayed so hard and my third born was admitted for quite sometime, it wasn't easy for me because she was just a newborn and I couldn't spend time with her. She just recovered now and fully cleared from jaundice :)

My baby developed jaundice few days after birth, we consulted our physician and found out that his bilirubin count was too high and that sunlight exposure will not be enough to treat his jaundice. We were advised to admit our baby to the NICU and start his phototheraphy. We learned that it was also caused by our blood incompatibility- His blood type is A and mine is O. It was a really sad experience that I can't sleep beside my baby for a week. Thankfully he has recovered now.
