I was being recommended to get the Graco playpen ($279 Babyland price) instead of a cot or bassinet by my relative. Reason was because it is very practical (can use up to 3 years old or maybe even older), the sides are netted so infants/babies won't hurt their heads as compared to cots. If get baby cot, you will put pillows to protect the side but increase risk of suffocation for infant. Hope this helps.

baby bed that can fold down for (diaper) changing... though it was not used much for sleeping after 4m since baby eventually squeezed in between us on our bed... didnt get any playpen... baby played in the bed as well

Playpen can do wonders up till a few years. Invest a little bit more on a playpen that has a bassinet rather than just a bassinet cause babies outgrow stuffs quite fast. Can see Graco or Joie, etc.

Playpen for a long run, bassinet usually last until baby can sit up or up to 9kg only.

Playpen. Bassinet last probably for a few months only.

Playpen would be best and long lasting
