Any recommendations for what instrument to get your kid started on?

Most kids are naturally drawn to percussion instruments when they are little. But when it comes to formal music lessons, there really is no hard and fast rule...it is what your kid enjoys. Piano and violin seem to be very popular.

How about letting yr child choose? My SIL sent her girl for piano and then in school she chose Gu Zhen for CCA.. and she enjoys it too!

Depend on your kid's interest. My no.1 is more interested in piano while no.2 is more interested in string instruments.

I think the kid shall be the guide to which instrument they are interested in.
