I will get to know her and try to understand how she was raised too. I wouldn’t treat her like my own daughter because she may not be comfortable with my way of treating my children. Haha. Unless she welcomes it.

Very difficult to say. My mil stays with me, and I know how difficult it must be for her. Actually, she is nice but still our perspectives are so different. I am so scared to step into mil's shoes.
