30 months LO refuse to talk double words

My 30mths Boy will sing songs like twinkle twinkle n head shoulders n if u happy n u know… in full sentences… But when I bring him to polyclinic for routine check… he unwilling to speak n doctor afraid he might have speech delay… ask me whether i need a referral to KKH… Any parents here have the same situation…

Maybe he’s just shy? I’m like this myself when I’m young. I won’t speak a single word with strangers or relatives who I don’t see in a year or more, no matter how you try to tempt me with candy or things I like my mouth is shut tight. I have no speech delay, just very shy and introvert 😅 I can talk really well with close family and relatives.
