Pregnancy

This folate-rich seed is one of the best options for pregnancy, as it will help boost immunity and aid with the baby's development.

Postpartum

Eat fewer sunflower seeds post delivery. The nutrient-rich seeds have high-fat content that may make you irritable. Avoid the processed seeds and buy more organic ones.

Breastfeeding

Eat much fewer quantities of sunflower seeds while breastfeeding. Sunflower seeds contain many nutrients such as unsaturated fatty acids and lecithin which can improve baby's nerve system development but should not be eaten in large amounts. Limit the munch for occasional cravings.

Baby

Sunflower seeds are not suitable for babies under the age of 11 months.
