Camembert is an uncooked, soft cheese which may have the bacteria listeria. For that reason, pregnant mums are advised not to eat it.
New mums can eat camembert cheese which contains calcium, vitamins and minerals. Be mindful of how much you eat as it also packs on calories and fat.
Breastfeeding mums can eat camembert cheese; it provides you with calcium, vitamins and minerals. However do not eat too much of it as it is high in fat and calories.
Do not give your baby unpasteurized camembert cheese if they are under one year old.
