8 weeks and no yolk found inside gestation sac. Should I be prepared for the worst?

Went for check up last week at wk7 the doc said possible miscarriage or it too early pregnancy that couldn’t see the yolk inside the amniotic sac. So told me to come back this week. I am now wk8 but result was same as last week. She told me to be prepared for the worst. However she gave me two weeks and we will do one final scan before deciding the next move. Is there anyone who experience this? #miscarriage #firstbaby

Sorry to hear that. It was like this for me for my first pregnancy too. I went for second opinion at another clinic and result was the same. I went to the polyclinic to get a referral to KKH for the D&C. But they require a number of scans of their own before they are able to proceed with the procedure. By the time I miscarried, I was approximately four months pregnant. It happened naturally after I fainted at home one morning, without the help of KKH at all.

Ladies, I have been diagnosed with blighted ovum, week 9 completed. Till which week I should wait to have miscarriage naturally? Misscarriage at week 10

Hello Ladies, I am at week 10 and detected with blighted ovum. I am taking oral medication for termination. What does miscarriage looks like since embryo/foetus was not developed. Will I see something in the bleeding or it will be like normal periods with heavy bleeding. Asking this question to prepare myself mentally and not get nervous when things actually happen. Not sure mine was how many weeks but roughly about 6-8 weeks. I had menses like bleeding for 2 weeks and everytime I pee the toilet bowl will be filled with blood. It came out naturally when I peed, a day before my supposed D&C. What I saw was something that looked like a placenta or something that looked like red jelly. Really not sure how to describe it. I even have the picture but maybe you want to Google?

Any reviews on Dr Wendy Teo from Mount Elizabeth Novena?

I had a miscarriage recently and felt that my current gynae was not empathetic at all when delivering the news. We called her into A&E on a Saturday due to bleeding. She just simply announced that I had a miscarriage and left the A&E quickly after instructing the nurse to prepare medication. #miscarriage I am thinking of switching Gynae for our future baby plans. Hihi, I might be a little late to the post. I just had a miscarriage and was seeing Dr Wendy. Even though it was a really upsetting situation, I thought she managed the whole thing really well, with lots of empathy, like asking me to take good care of myself, offering more leave for recovery, agreeing in a heartbeat when I wanted to postpone the procedure (evacuation of uterus) and to take one last ultrasound to confirm my miscarriage for personal closure, and reassuring me when I was worried about the op. I am really thankful to her. She was also my gynae for my earlier pregnancy and was always patient to answer my never ending questions. I had a complicated birth (baby was facing wrong direction and stuck) but she was was calm and composed and everything turned out OK eventually. Would totally recommend her!
