Umbilical cord has 3 vessels: 1 vein which bring nutrients to baby and 2 veins that bring waste back to the placenta.

Although people say the higher rate is a bout but Its not very accurate to the gender judge by heart beat rate. Do a detail scan to find out is the best :)
