Does anyone of you experience numbness on your right hand after giving birth?

Hi all, I am experiencing numbness on my right hand (especially after I sleep at night).. i am doing full breastfeeding now and I only experience after I gave birth. I want to know if this is related to breastfeeding? Please help. It goes off after awhile but it last for 5-10mins for sure.

hi mummy! i gave birth 3 weeks ago and still have it. my gynae told me that it's normal and can last for a couple of months. this is due to water retention and carrying the baby for an extended period, but will go away eventually. take care!

Steroid injection on c sec wound anyone?

I heard that we can inject steroid onto our wound to help healing of the wound. Is that true?

I think that is an option if you develop a keloid or hypertrophic scar on the wound.

Gestational Diabetes at wk 28

Just to check if any mums with GD experience with this? I am trying to check my blood sugar daily. But out of 3 meals a day usually will have one meal that slightly exceeds 6.5 (max range after food, taken 2hrs after meal). Is reading 6.8-7.0 for that exceeding meal bad for baby development? I’m trying hard and is very hungry but I still have problem getting every meal below 6.5… Please help..

Eat wholemeal bread with cheese and a cup of milo is fine. Have to really cut down 2/3 of rice intake (no matter white rice or brown rice for me). I did a lot of trial and error with combination of food.

Which adapter can be used for spectra S1+ pump directly to Avent PPSU wide neck bottle?

Anyone knows about this? As my flange seems to be smaller than my Avent wide neck bottle (PPSU). I’m looking for a adapter that allow me to pump directly into the avent bottle. Thanks in advance!

How long does your first menses last

Hi mums, I am having my first born in early Dec but I’m wonder how long does your first heavy menses last for natural birth mummies? I am not sure how many maternity pad should I buy. Thanks!

Mine about 20 days. I used maternity pad only for few days then continue with regular pad.

Any major side effects on COVID-19 vaccines? For mums who have taken it?

Dear Mummies, I am struggling to make a decision to whether I should take the vaccination for COVID-19. I’m currently at 23wks now. Anyone suffered from major side effects after their jabs? #pleasehelp #advicepls #firstbaby Gynae said it’s ok to take the vaccination but not 100% sure if it will have any side effects on the baby.

I’m at week 27 and after much thought, I decided to take the vaccine yesterday. Because I think the risk of me getting covid and affecting the baby is more than the vaccine affecting the baby. I got assurance from my Gynae that the vaccine will not pass through the placenta to the baby only antibodies will. With Singapore opening up and the more contagious delta variant, everyone around me is fully vaccinated and they can still be carriers of the virus to me. Weighing the pros and cons, during delivery I will be exposed to a lot of people in and out of the suite. And my original plan of vaccinating after confinement. I’m worried that my body might be weaker and any side effects I am worried I can’t handle especially with a new born around. So thought that now is the better time to take it. Either way it’s a risk! So it’s just to weigh which risk we are willing to take. And don’t feel pressured it’s all a personal choice and you must be comfortable with your decision :) Didn’t get any side effects though maybe just slight headache and lethargic. And of course, sore in the arm at the injection spot!

How often do we need to replace the PPSU milk bottles?

Dear mummies, I’m wondering if there’s a self life for the PPSU Avnet bottles? Those that we use with UV sterilizer? My friend told me I should change all bottles every 6 months, is that true? But her bottle is the normal avent bottles.

Decaf English Breakfast Tea

Hi mummies, I’m wondering is it ok to drink a cup of decaf black tea every morning? I noticed for the past one week I had like 5 days of tea. Although the it’s decaf some people told me black tea have tannic so it’s still not good for my baby. I’m 18wks now, previously I try to drink only 2 times per week. Please advice :) thanks in advance 🥰

it’s fine as long as you don’t exceed 200mg of caffeine each day. decaf tea is about 2mg per cup.
