We love our Lolos and Lolas and what better way to show them than making sure they are well, safe, and cared for. 🫶 Gab did not have the privilege to meet my parents—his Lolo D and Lola P, but I find comfort and joy in the fact that he has them as his guardian angels in heaven. 💙 We loved conversations, cracking jokes, sharing meals, watching our favorite shows together, and playing music and sports together. I feel like it nourished my whole being, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Ganoon kami mag-bonding noon. That’s how we took care and looked out for each other. I was brought up well-taken care of by my parents. Join us and take the pledge to support #BuildingABakuNation because we care for our elderly love ones. ✍️ https://form.theasianparent.com/buildingabakunation #BuildingABakuNation #TeamBakuNanay #theAsianparentPH #VIParentsPH
Read moreYou can breastfeed while you have colds!
That's according to DOH! Hooray! In fact, "when a mother is sick, antibodies are produced to fight infection. Antibodies are secreted in the breast milk and are transferred to the baby during breastfeeding." #TeamBakuNanay #BuildingABakunation #VIParentsPH #breastfeeding
Read moreBreastmilk is the best milk you can give your child, most especially during their first 1000 days.
Did you know that only 14.3% are exclusively breastfed here in the Philippines? That's according to the Philippine Statistics Authority in July 19, 2022. In a third world country where poverty is prevalent, that's rather low. Theoretically, breastmilk is the best milk you can give your child, most especially during their first 1000 days. It's not called "liquid gold" for nothing. Another is that it can produce a certain type of antibody, specific to what your child needs at a certain time. It works like this... Ang gagawin ngayon ng breast ni mommy is to produce antibodies to fight off the "could-have-been" colds ni baby. Ganyan sya kagaling. Kagaya ng palagi kong sinasabi, breastfeeding is a commitment and I am bound to do it for as long as my son wants it. Another way to protect our children is through vaccination. 💉 Take the pledge in Building a Bakunation! 👇 ✍ https://form.theasianparent.com/buildingabakunation #BuildingABakunation #TeamBakuNanay #theAsianparentPH #VIParentsPH
