Breastfeedinh At Work
Hi mommies! I need your suggestions po. I was just hired po and today is my first day. From what i heard, ginagawa pa po yung ibang parts ng office namin (w/c is restroom lang). My problems are: 1. Walang lactation room. Although nung interviews ko, I made it known to them na I'm a breastfeeding maam and palagi kong tinatanong where can I pump milk. From my second interview, I was told na maybe I could do it sa shared restroom ng office namin or sa quiet place ng pantry. I tried sa restroom, wala namang working outlet. I could not try sa pantry because sobrang open ng pantry :((( 2. I asked kung may time allotted ba for my pumping scheds. Ang sabi lang, we have two 15 mins break and an hour long lunch. What to dooooo? Sobrang sakit na ng boobs ko and ang init nya na.
Breastmilk Storing.
Hi mums! Since I will be working na po, guato ko malaman how to safely transport breastmilk from office to bahay. If nasa work po ako ang magpump ako, san ko po dapat istore ang breastmilk? Freezer po ba? What if the milk freezes, okay lang po ba na medyo matunaw siya (given na may ice pack and thermal bag ako) since 2-3 hrs ang biyahe pauwi?
You're Doing Great.
Here's to all the sleep-deprived momma's, to moms second doubting their ability to raise and care for their child well, to moms who were told "ang pangit mo magbuntis" because their post-partum body isn't ideal to this society, to moms who are tending to their loved ones even if they need the tending too. Momma, you're not alone. You do you. It's a tough process to learn that you need to love and be easy to yourself. You're doing great.
