Parents with children who are close in age gap

Hi I have 2 kids who are 2.5 years apart. I realised the baby toys that my elder liked before and could really figure how to play(not those battery toys). However my younger one doesn't seem to take interest in the same baby toys as her elder brother. Only some baby toys they liked the same (elder fav toys when he is baby) and some no. My concern is I'm still keeping the baby toys that younger one doesn't seems to take much interest in but to me I want her to learn and practise her fine motor skills playing the toys. She is 24 months old now and I realised if she likes the toy she will figure and know how to play. But when she doesn't like the toy, no matter how I rotate the toys since 1 years old, she still doesn't show much interest. I'm trying to clear baby toys already so I'm also quite hesitant until she is able to practise the fine motor skills for that toy, for example turning the knob etc. Thing is my elder one can turn the knob when he is 16 months old and I know different babies grow at their own pace. My 24 months old can sort colours, knows body parts, ABC, can match picture to picture, play pretend feeding animals etc but I'm still waiting for her to turn the knob and match the shape sorter toy. Do you think I should just give away the baby toys or continue to wait it out? She already seems uninterested I kept bringing out and keeping the same old toys. 😅I just want her to learn and practise new fine motor skills! Anyone encounter same situation as me? Also cause I wanna declutter 😅

Grooming For Dogs: A Key Factor in Reducing Stress for Furry Friends — The Pets Workshop

In Singapore dog grooming plays a crucial role in maintaining the physical health of pets, but its impact on mental well-being is equally significant. Regular grooming, especially dog grooming, can reduce stress for both pets and their owners. While many think of grooming as just a way to keep pets looking their best, it offers more than aesthetic benefits — it contributes to a balanced and happy lifestyle. 1. Reducing Stress in Pets Just like humans, pets can feel stress, anxiety, and discomfort when their physical needs aren’t met. Grooming helps alleviate these feelings in several ways. Regular dog grooming ensures that a pet’s coat is clean, free from mats, and comfortable. Matted fur, in particular, can be painful for animals, pulling at their skin and causing discomfort. For dogs, frequent dog grooming sessions remove dirt, parasites, and excess shedding, which not only makes them more comfortable but also keeps their skin healthier, reducing the chances of irritation or infections that could cause stress. Grooming sessions, when done consistently and gently, also help pets get used to human touch. This familiarization process reduces anxiety, making future sessions less stressful. The soothing sensations of brushing and bathing help calm pets, making them more relaxed and less prone to nervous behaviours. 2. Strengthening the Bond Between Pets and Owners Regular dog grooming Singapore also strengthens the bond between pets and their owners. Grooming your dog, for instance, gives you the opportunity to spend quality time with your pet, which enhances trust and affection. These grooming sessions create positive associations, making dogs feel secure and loved. As pets relax, owners also feel more at ease, reducing stress on both sides. 3. Preventing Health Issues Grooming acts as a preventive measure against certain health issues, which in turn reduces mental stress for pet owners. Regular dog grooming helps detect skin problems, lumps, or injuries early on, allowing for quicker intervention. By staying on top of these concerns, pet owners can avoid the anxiety of facing sudden and unexpected veterinary issues. Incorporating regular dog grooming into your pet’s routine not only helps maintain their physical health but also has a profound effect on reducing stress and anxiety. This mutual benefit fosters a peaceful environment, enhancing the overall well-being of both pets and their owners. Groom your Dogs: https://www.thepetsworkshop.com.sg/ #Dog #Grooming #Singapore
