May I check how frequently do you mummies go for checkup and ultrasound at week 32 and after?

Week 32, 36, 38, 39 then EDD. I dont have ultrasound but just fetal hearing, membrane sweep and cervix check.

Hi mummies, im 30 w today and i feel no appetite at all … i can oonly eat breakfast and no appetite for the rest of the day. Issit normal pls advise:(

I'm 31 weeks now and I feel exactly the same. I only have breakfast and have no appetite throughout the day. I can even skip lunch and dinner and I feel fine. but it's good to have fruits or something small to munch on if you're not having lunch or dinner. simple food like bread, oats or nestum.

Can we claim all delivery charged under both Mom MMP & then use Dad Medisave?

hi! wanted to ask, can all the delivery charges can be covered by both parents medisave and no need to fork out cash? abit confused w the MMP usage & how to pay for delivery charges. we are not sure whether to take private or subsidised rates in public or private hospitals. both parents have enough medisave to cover total estimated costs but not sure if can claim from both? #firsttimemom #advicepls #pleasehelp #firstbaby #deliverycharges #deliverypayment #singapore #claimmedisave

MMP will be deducted off your final bill. You cannot claim 100% via medisave as there is a capped amount (doesn’t matter whose medisave you use) unless you go for subsidised which most of the time falls below the capped value. Eg for mine, I was under private, my total bill was $8K after MMP deduction and I can only use $4K to offset from medisave and $4K via cash.

Annoyed at my MIL who smokes

My MIL wanted us to go visit her brother today and both of them started smoking in the house when i’m there - the cig smell is so strong. Feel so annoyed by it that they are so inconsiderate despite my hubby telling my MIL before to not smoke around me. when my child is born my MIL will be the main caregiver when we return to work but i’m very concerned that she will continue smoking.

Speaking as a past smoker, you cannot ask a smoker to quit smoking or don’t smoke unless they are willing to do so. Rest assured, your mil will still continue smoking because my mil is slightly better than yours (during pregnancy). During pregnancy she will go out and smoke, then stay away from me until the smell of her disperse. Now we don’t live together and when we go and visit her (LO is 20mo), she smokes in her room (the entire house is full of cig smell right after let alone the room) and even when my LO went in her room right after, she don’t bring her out and sometimes she just kiss LO directly after she smoke which I’m very and super annoyed. I usually tell my husband and my husband will go and scold her or else I will just bring LO away into my SIL’s room and close the door. If you guys can afford, get a helper or send LO to IFC if you’re really afraid your mil will smoke around baby.

Im currently 29 weeks and I can't help but wondering, Is it possible if I had normal delivery and everything is good, Is it possible to last minute change to ward A? NUH

You will have to book your bed by latest 36 weeks thereafter you will not be able to change. Both pregnancy I had at two different hospital (NUH/KKH) and both procedure is the same.

Hi mummies, I'm 31 weeks now. Feeling really very uncomfortable the whole day and felt really hot,can't sleep at night ,feel like my tummy is bursting and always feel short of breath . Any recommendations to cure it. Only lying down and having air con I will feel better. Omg 😱

Wear light and blast the aircon helps. For shortness of breath, I tried to apply thin layer of Vicks on my throat and chest which helps me breathe better.

Hi! May I have some recent good recommendations for postnatal massage (Jamu/Malay) that really helps on you? Prefer not those mainstream company ones… as I understand some of their good reviews may not be truthful.

Normal delivery after CSec

Hi Ladies, I am currently expecting my 4th, and I'm 31 weeks preggo. I am keen to try normal delivery after 3 years gap from CSec. I have 3 kids, and my first 2 were normal deliveries. However, my 3rd was induced, and it was kind of a failed attempt as it ended up with a low fetal heart rate, and i ended up being wheeled to the Operation Theatre. So I want to know if any ladies here have gone through such experience and would like to share a short insight of your experience for me to feel confident :) #advicepls
