Any experience with Dr Chua Tsei Meng from NUHS? It's my first time having a baby, pls help 🙏🏻

I cannot find recent reviews for her. 🥺

Hi I was with Dr Chua Tsei Meng when I delivered my firstborn in May 2021! I delivered her at 41 weeks via emergency c sect. She didn’t recommend natural birth given the circumstances. But all in all she’s great, fast, and very to the point. Wastes no time. My appointments with her are usually really fast if there’s no problems. I had a very easygoing pregnancy thankfully so that explains. Overall, I’d recommend her!

Hi fellow mommies! Just a quick & stupid qn but is it normal to have sore throat & runny nose during first trimester? How to recover quickly by self medicating? As my first gynae check will only happen next week… I’m not sure. Please advice!

Would not suggest self medicating as most medication not suitable for pregnancy, best to seek doctor. Take warm honey lemon and drink lots of water meanwhile.

5 weeks pregnant

I thought I'm at week 6 based on my last period date but when I see the Gynae, she said its about 5 weeks. Did a virginal ultrasound and there's a York sac but that's all. Was prescripted Duphaston and a progesterone jab on the first visit and arranged another appt next week. Anyone experiencing the same thing ?

Yes, I suppose to be week 7 base on last period and went for gynae appt , did an ultra scan show 5W5D with a heartbeat . Also prescribed duphaston. But gynae say still early and can see heartbeat is very good already she said. As due to diff ppl ovulation cycle diff the scan might have 1wk differences. It Sld be normal :)

Prenatal Depression?

Has anyone else just been feeling really intense emotions during early pregnancy? I've been crying at the drop of a hat and to add to that I've been having a lot of intrusive thoughts...

5 weeks pregnant and down with bad flu and fever

I'm currently taking pregnancy safe medicine prescribed by GP, but im worried about side effects on baby. Anyone knows if its ok to take antibiodics and panadol?

As long as you’re taking the basic panadol, it is safe and there’s no side effect.

Mixed Emotions. Should I be worried or stay calm?

Only 5 and half weeks of pregnancy but tummy big as 2nd trimester. Always feels hungry, can eat double or tripple portions. Possible twins? 1st scanning done and gynae not able to detect a baby foetus. Gynae said, do not be worried, it is only 2mm size. That is the reason why and it is normal. Gynae arranged 2nd ultrasounds to assured baby foetus found. Is this normal?

I just done my first scan on 4.5weeks but cant detect anything. Im also worried but my gynae told me its normal! They have scheduled me for another scan at 6 weeks :) Positive vibes!

Govt or Private?

Hi all mommies! I just tested positive a few days ago & planning to visit a Dr but not sure if I shld go govt or private… any suggestions please?

Congratulations to you! ✨ My husband and me prefer private and we went ahead with it. I would say it depends on what is your priority? You have to see your comfort level and financial capabilities because there will be a lot of commitments ongoing. Some mommies priority is gynae’s choice (if you have any gynae in mind you would like him/her to assist you) and/or hospital. You can consider going for hospital tour too.

Hi Mummy's! I'm on my 2nd Pregnancy and for the 1st time i choose NUH hospital for my Delivery. Anyone has experience with a Good Obgyn? Especially for Private. Thankyou!
