Delivery at TMC

Hi moms, has anyone delivered at Thomson before? Do we go into birth room immediately or do we wait at observation ward first? Do u know where is the epidural administered? Thanks in advance !

Based on my 1st pregnancy 2 yrs ago, you will be held in the observation ward first to monitor your cervic dilation. After water bag burst, or closer to the active labour stage then they will transfer you to delivery birth room. For epidural, it will be administered in the delivery birth room then you stay inside there during active labor and delivery of baby. Sometime depend on the availability of the delivery ward too.

what size should i buy for my newborn for diaper , NB size or S Size?

hello mummies , what size should i get for my nb?

Depend on your baby size, if petite size below 3kg the first month use about 1 carton of NB size (4pkts), then 2nd month onwards can use S size.

Vaginal discharged with blood

Wakey up and had a discharged with blood on my pantyliner.. I'm just 34wks5days pregnant,, just wonder if anyone had given birth at the gestation and baby doesn't need to stay at NICU ?

unlikely, the protocol is for baby to stay until 37 weeks

Private hospital enquiries

Hi mummies, has anyone delivered at TMC before? what’s the difference between room rates and maternity package rates? I’m a little confused with it as it’s my first time. For the maternity package is it inclusive of the procedure that we’re going for? (normal delivery, caesarean etc) with the room rates and also the doctor’s fee? Or….? Kindly enlighten me. Thank you mummies

Room is room (more for non pregnant ladies to refer to if they have any inpatient surgery/breakdown prices of room only rates), maternity package (pregnancy) includes whatever is listed below and all the complimentary items (gift bags, food etc) but EXCLUDING doctor fees, mother and baby care fees. I gave birth at 2021 Dec, assisted natural delivery with epi. 1 bedder. Paid $7K cash, $4K medisave. Implantation discharge

How does implantation discharge/bleeding look like? Does it come a few days before your period due date? And do you feel cramp or experience diarrhea symptoms? I do notice a very faint light brown discharge on my panty but not sure if its period or implantation discharge. My period never come so on time or early.

it differs from case to case. it’s hard to say. mine was light brown with cramps and diarrhea, BUT i have those symptoms before menses too. it’s really hard to tell those apart. have patience and you can test soon.

Tired to do anything. Is this normal?

Hi mummies, I’m currently 33 weeks now. But feeling super tired to do anything be it cleaning the house or doing house chores. And I’m overthinking a lot. Is this normal? How do I encourage myself not to be super tired and not overthinking a lot? #firsttiimemom #firstpregnacy

Super normal. Feeling the same too so i just do the bare minimum.. Take the chance to sleep and rest more before the baby comes. :)
