Understand from friends and family l that the care of nurses and doctors is better in NUH. However, my only concern is that NUH doesn't provide scans for every appointment. Advise?

Suggestion on healthier food

Hi mummies! In first tri and always very hungry and if i dont eat every 2 hr i will feel super nauseous and retch badly once i eat.. I’m having issues finding healthy food that keeps me full in between meals ): tried nuts and milo but still hungry.. end up eating instant noodle. any suggestions?

Or you can buy those instant cereal packets, just add hot water

Is it normal to have slower pee stream?

I have been drinking a lot of water and each time I visit the toilet, the stream is slower than usual. Just wondering if any other first tri mamas out there experience the same!

Yea me too..started to notice this week that my pee is slower even though my water intake is the same.

Week 12 Epilator during pregnancy

Hi mama out there Just to check around if anyone use epilator during their pregnancy term? Not sure if is safe to use.

Can i store folic acid and supplements in the fridge?

Hi mummies, I know supplements like calcium and folic acid can be stored at just room tempreature, but can I also store them in the fridge? My fridge is around 7 degree. Will it be too cold and spoil the efficacy of the medicine/supplement?

Can i go A&E & request HL

This is my second pregnancy. This time my nausea & body extra tired . Took MC alot to rest till MC left 2. On certain days, i cant even stand or sit down . Can i request for HL?

hi, perhaps you should run these symptoms through your gynae to see how you can manage the symptoms better. there might be some nausea medications and other supplements to make you feel better/have more energy. talk to your gynae! hope you feel better soon

Flaky scalp or dandruff alike particles?

In my 10th weeks now and I’m experiencing some flaky scalp/ dandruff alike particles on my hair. I’ve never had dandruff issues before, is this common?

Thinking of going to SGH private from 20 weeks onwards - does anyone know if they have a maternity package similar to other private gynaes where it's $X amount for Y number of visits? TIA!

At 9 weeks i feel like vomiting..does not feel like eating much.

Hi Mummies is there any remedies for me to.not feel like.vomittin and i dont eat much already.at 9 weeks now. Worried..if i eat less..will my baby be ok.

I did not eat much because no appetite throughout my whole pregnancy and lost about 10kg. However, I still continue to drink pregnancy milk and eat my supplements daily - like folic acid, DHA, multivitamin and calcium. Delivered a healthy 3kg baby 3 months ago 😁 Just try to eat food with nutritions even if it’s a little. Quality over quantity. Don’t worry!

I am at my 7th week. I keep having (bearable) abdominal pains throughout the day. Is that normal?

Abdominal pains

If the feeling is like menstrual cramp then it’s normal because your uterus is expanding and making space for your growing baby! You will still feel it as and when along the journey. Just take note that you are not bleeding or feeling any massive pain.
