Hello fellow mummies. Recently I've noticed my baby choked/gagged more often. Is it ok is it normal? She will either choke on her own saliva or milk. She will cough several times till face turn red and then will be ok already. What do I have to do?

Red spots on thighs

Any mummies ever encountered similar skin condition as mine? I got it during pregnancy and it went off, and came back during postpartum. The spots appeared on both thighs (slightly above the knees) It doesn't cause any itch or pain.

Spitting and vomiting milk

Hi mummies, my baby is turning 3m old soon. He seems to have reflux and tends to spit out milk or even vomits esp when he drinks too fast without pausing. He’s on total breastfeeding (latch). Sometimes he coughs (quite frequent) or chokes on milk. He seems to have the symptoms of reflux but is gaining weight well. Should I bring him to the PD or spitting and vomiting in babies is normal?

Reflux or Milk spits common on newborn till few months old. Baby's oesophagus yet to be fully developed, hence milk content will flow up back causing milk spits or reflux. It is also important to burp in up right position after feeding. This is to ensure baby's don't feel bloated/gassy after feeding. Be it BM/FM intake do ensure baby burp before putting them to bed (take time and do not rush to burp them neither putting them to bed)

Anybody using Mama Choice handsfree breastpump? Can all the parts be sterilised except the motor? Seller confirmed all parts can be sterilised however it is not advisable to prevent crack. I am confused.

Rotavirus Vaccine

Hello. My 2 months old just taken the rotavirus Vaccine last week. Yesterday I realised her poop significantly decreased. Used to poop every 2-3 hours. But now 1 whole day 1 time only. Is it ok? Not sure if it's because of the vaccine. Thanks in advance.

poop every 2~3hrs? is it alot per time? mine poop twice the max a day, mixed feeding of bm + fm lo will poop everyday and can be in huge amount

Tula / Baby Carrier

Mamas, when can I use tula or baby carrier? My LO is 2m8d. Arms about to break when carrying as LO doesn't like to sit in a stroller.. What to take note when using tula besides the neck has to be well supported?

U can start using tula baby carrier once Yr baby is above 3.5kg. If Yr carrier is the free to grow type, then u need an infant insert. I am using it from my infant already

Is pacifier ok?

Hi. Heard many bad reviews about using pacifier. Mummies who let their babies use pacifier, is it ok? Is it bad for baby's teeth next time? Is there any colic issue? I tried pacifier once but my baby doesn't like it. Recently she kept biting her hands so I tried again and she wants it now. But I'm worried about the cons of using pacifier. Any advice pls? TIA.

I started using pacifier for my baby at 6 weeks old. I read that pacifier reduces the risk of SIDS so that's why I used it even though I was hesitant at first. Also read that sucking on something comforts them, so I only limit pacifier use to extreme crying 😅
