Low supply or cluster feeding

My baby just turn 3 months this week and has been crying for a feed every 1.5-2 hrs, currently ongoing for 3 days already, full latch. I read online that baby goes through a growth spurt at 3 months but however, there is very little info on it. I never had a problem with my milk supply until 3 days ago when this ‘cluster feeding’ happen. Even if i tried using bottle today, my baby also cry for a feed in 2hrs 15mins. First bottle: 100ml. 2nd bottle: 80ml. After this 2nd bottle, i latch her (feed her again) in 2hrs. Any other parents going through cluster feeding now?

This is “growth spurt”. What happens for my lo during growth spurt is that she can drink her usual intake every 45mins -1hour (instead of 3 hourly) and also waking up at night to feed (instead of STTN). This usually happens for a week or two. Mostly happens on the 3,6,9 (weeks/months).

milk storage bag

Does any one here knows if we can reuse milk storage bag meant for single use? I find it a waste to throw everytime but i dont have alot of milk storage bottle as well.. I read online that they dont recommend but they can be reused if sterilized properly.. how do you all sterilise your non-reuseable milk storags bag?

I dun think it’s that easy to wash and dry thoroughly. For hygiene purpose, I simply discard the used bags.

Milk/heat/saliva rash

Hi, a few weeks back i noticed that the folds on my baby’s skin had milk/heat/saliva rash. However, now the skin has 2 different colour 😭 anyone knows what can I do to improve her skin condition on her neck area?

My baby has redness under those neck folds too. It’s so hard to clean. I try cleaning it with cotton balls with water before bathing, gentle cleaning it again with my finger during bathing time. Pat dry with towel and apply a thin layer of hikada horse oil (can be found on Lazada). When baby is not sleeping, I make her wear a bib to stay dry. The condition improved after a few days.

Can I still increase my milk supply?

I am 2 months and 16 days postpartum and never really established a milk supply. Each time pump is about 5-40mls. I was switching between several supplements and I think wasn’t as consistent in pumping. Now I am motivated to start pumping consistently. Is it still possible to establish or increase my milk supply even though it’s been 2 months postpartum? How long should I expect to see results if I start pumping regularly every 2-3hrs? Any other tips?

most important is pump frequency, 3 hourly. hydrate one cup of water before and after pump - very impt!

Is 5.2kg Baby’s weight at 3 months normal?

My baby is 3 months and 17 days today. She is about 5.2kg. Her formula milk consumption is about 450ml - 500ml a day. I tried to feed her more but she refused. What should I do?

That's acceptable because my LO was about that weight. But nonetheless would advice you to always check with nurse/doctor during their monthly check up. As long as the chart weight/height goes up and not down. They would also ask interval of how many hrs and how many ml your LO drink. Then they would advice if too much or not or right amount.

Is it normal for a 11 week old baby to cry almost the whole day ?

It could be colic if a baby cry a whole day or for prolong period of time. No specific reason but majority of the baby that's just few days/week old will have colic. Since it is a totally different "world" hence, baby is adapting to noises, sound, atmosphere. You may try to swaddle baby, lullaby or massage baby to keep them comfy. Hopefully it works.
