HFMD during pregnancy

Any mummy contracted HFMD during pregnancy? I saw articles saying there’s a risk of miscarriage, etc. I just entered 2nd trimester and so worried 😟

Postnatal massage helps to lose pregnancy weight?

Has anyone tried postnatal massage and successfully dropped pregnancy weight? I didn’t do it during my first pregnancy and my pregnancy weight didn’t drop. I’m worried for my second pregnancy weight gain..

I think postnatal massage really help a lot. Pre pregnancy weight 53 at the end of pregnancy 67. In 1 month post pregnancy i lost 10 at least

Vertiginous giddiness

Hi! Anyone experienced vertiginous giddiness? I'm 12 weeks pregnant. Been having this vertigo for a week now. Been to gp & hosp. Still the same.

Yes if your blood count ok means you dehydrated. Need to drink more water atleast 2.5liter per day. It happened to me tho

Fever at 15 Weeks

Hi all! I’m having fever (up till 39.3) for 3 days straight. Have taken paracetamols, but my fever keeps returning. My NUH Dr told me to just see GP. I’m worried if baby will be affected. Anyone else experienced the same? 😪

Baby wont effect anything. I got high fever for almost 5 days during my first pregnancy , i dont even have a voice to talk for a week. But baby turned out well

KKH subsidised to private

Hi I am currently a subsidised patient at KKH, I am thinking to switch to private (KKH) at a later stage but unsure when and the amount. Pls advise!!

My first born kkh private all the way . My bill for delivery cash is 8.5k cpf 2k ish in 2023. Epidural + assisted delivery + induce + laughing gas but depends on the doctor too i think

Detailed Scan (ADC) & Clinic C Appointment

Hello mummies Anyone had an experience having appointment two days in row ? I going to have my 20 weeks detail scan on Thursday and the next day i have appointment again at Clinic C KKH. Its kind of weird they didnt put in one day. Anyone had the same thing as mine? Thank you #firsttimemom #pregnancy #FirstTime

yes. same experience. Mine in Oct and they are in different days too.

KKH amniocentesis test

Did anyone done amniocentesis test at KKH recently? 3 years ago, they seemed like not recommended but today they’re suggesting it. I prefer to do NIPT coz less risk. #pregnancy

Is there a reason why the doctor had recommended it? Usually it may be because there are some risk factors, such as mum’s age, mum’s health, or complications in prior pregnancies (if any). Amniocentesis has a small risk of miscarriage (0.5%) so it’s a bit unlikely that a doctor in the public healthcare system would recommend it without reason. Might be worthwhile to understand why! An amniocentesis is a diagnostic tool - higher in accuracy. NIPT is a screening process - can only give a risk profile but if you find out that risk is high, likely still have to proceed with CVS or amniocentesis for a diagnosis thereafter.

High risk for Trisomy 18

Hey Mommies. Did a blood test & Dr reviewed that baby is at high risk for structural deformity (trisomy 18). Worried if baby will be ok. Any mummies experienced the same?

can do further amnio or cvs test to be sure
