I have chronic UTI and have been resistant to many antibiotics. Doctor now suggest to get admitted to hospital to administer neuroflorantin via injection for a period of 14 days. She said this antibiotic is generally safe for pregnancy but being a FTM currently in week 13 feeling quite apprehensive not knowing how it might impact baby. If I ignore the UTI, it could also be risky due to premature labour. Anybody else had a similar issue?

Hi Mommies. How much folic acid dosage are you consuming daily please? Dr gave me 5mg tablet daily. Online articles suggest min. 6/8mg. Thanks in advance!

Hi Mommies, I’ve been struggling to swallow calcium pills and prenatal capsules. For calcium pills, I’ve already broken it down to 4 or more pieces before swallowing but it does make me feel nauseous, I end up vomiting everything out. Tried powder form and mixed it in honey water, end up vomiting it out as well. The prenatal capsule is even longer so I did not even try. The contents inside is liquid and I can’t stomach the taste and smell. I haven’t been consistent with the supplements that doctor prescribed me with for the last 2 weeks as I don’t have anymore ideas how to swallow the pills. Wondering if prenatal drinks like Similac mom or Enfamama can replace those pills? #firsttimemom #supplements

Hello, I notice some blood when i poop, I dont feel any type of pain at the moment and i dont feel constipated. Should I go straight to the hospital to get it checked? Im aware that hemorrhoids are common among pregnant mums esp in the 3rd trimester but i’m only in my early 2nd trimester. Any other mummies have had similar experiences?

I’m currently 15 weeks pregnant, we found out I have a 9x7cm ovarian cyst in week 7 and the cyst size remained the same until week 12. But when we scanned again in week 13, the size went down a little to 8.3cm, and in week 14 it went down further to 7.7cm x 4.4cm. However, if we wish to remove it, the ideal time frame advised by doctors to do the surgery is by week 16 so we don’t have much time. Has anyone had similar experiences or done cyst removal surgery before and able to offer some advice please? I’m also worried as I’d be travelling in 3 weeks and again in November (when I am week 27) so having the cyst there may be worrying. Also I’ve been seeing Dr Smita Jindal at KKH and Dr Kelly Loi at Mt E, but can’t really decide who to go with if we proceed with the surgery. If we go with KKH, we’re worried it will be tough reaching the doctor by phone in case of any issues we face after the surgery. Thank you!
