Down with fever…

Hi mummies, I’m 11w5d pregnant but i’m down with fever and sore throat. I’ve seen a GP this morning and was prescribed pregnancy safe meds. But my fever still hover between 38 to 38.8. Is there a way to bring down the temperature other than eating panadol and manuka honey with lemon? Can I use Kool fever cooling pad? Not sure if it’s safe to use.

koolpad is topical, safer than panadol so don’t worry 😅

OSCAR, NIPT or both?

Which test(s) are you considering? Is it also possible to do just the NT scan (part of OSCAR) + NIPT? Read it somewhere but my gynae recommends just the OSCAR for me as I am still young and the odds are low.

When I was 29 yo, my gynae only asked me to do Oscar. When I was 33, she asked me to do nipt. So I just followed her advice. I just did nipt at 37 but she also did the NT scan for me to check the thickness of the neck and nasal bone/

Spotting during first trimester

I’m about 7 weeks pregnant and have been spotting. Did check and cervix was closed. Anyone experienced spotting?

I had some spotting early on but still going strong. Always check with your gynae. My gynae gave me a scan the next day and I have been on duphaston from my first gynae visit till end of 8 weeks.

Sorry.. did you lose any weight in first trimester? I lose 5kg in trimester one.. it should slowly get better. If not, you may want to check with your gynae.

Is it normal to always spit my saliva?

Hi. I’m at 10 weeks now and up till today. I can’t seem to swallow my own saliva, I’ll usually spit. Cause I feel more nauseated when I swallow my own saliva and sometimes when I do swallow it, it creates a mucus or phlegm form and it makes me want to gag. Any idea if this is normal? Also I’m a first time mum to be. So I’m not quite sure. Do advise.

Yes.. it’s very normal. Me too. I will have tissue paper and a plastic bag by my bedside so that I can spit it out. Sometimes, i feel really uncomfortable cos I have to keep doing it.

Severe gastric pain (GERD before got pregnant)

Hi Mommies to be! I’m 7 weeks and 2 days pregnant experiencing severe upper abdominal pain due to gastric. Weekly nko nasa OB pero wala pa din changes. Gutom, bloated at sikmura from time to time. :(#advicepls #pregnancy

hi mummy! i think you might be in the incorrect platform, this is SG platform. but to answer your question, yes, those are perfectly normal. you can ask your doctor for safe medications to take for your gastric problems. take care!

I feel super bloated

I feel bloated every time I’m done with a meal. i could go on a day with just a meal or two because i’d feel bloated so that would make me think I’m already or still full. Is that normal. #firstbaby
