Would you recommend soft books to 5 month olds?

Ofcourse, a child's brain perceives a lot than you can imagine. When they see pictures, it gives them the sense of shapes, colours. When you read to them, they start to understand different sounds, alphabets and build their vocabulary of words. So it could be a wonderful practice and would facilitate their development.
