Washing infant clothes/items

Wondering to those who have dogs/cat and have been washing your clothes with their clothes in the washing machine, how do you all handle washing your infant clothes/items. Heard that infant clothes would be wash and handled seperately, do I need to get a washing machine just from my infant items? Thanks!

I have 2 dogs and I do wash their clothings and baby’s clothings in the same machine but different washes. No issue on baby’s skin for mine.
