Side effects of folic acid.

Hi, my wife and I are planning to have a baby in the next few months so we bought folic acid tablet from watsons. After taking one tablet, my wife complained of having an upset stomach. Has anyone who has taken folic acid before encountered the same thing? What should we do now?
