This checkup is for your doctor to find out the progress of your recovery from the delivery process. Your doctor will likely be checking your incision, your breast (for blocked ducts or infections), your general health (weight, blood pressure etc), and your bladder and intestines. A PE is required to check your uterus, ovaries and cervix, to ensure that these organs are returning to their pre-pregnancy state. It is also a good chance to ask any questions your may have, about recovery, about attending to the baby or anything you need to find out more on.
