Metformin has no direct effect on pcos. PCOS is highly associated to insulin resistance leading to Type 2 diabetes. It will help you treat insulin resistance from pcos. It is highly advised for you to control your sugar/carbs intake. Your OB will give you hormonal pills for pcos.
